Help & calibration guide
Everything you need for a trustworthy measurement.
Photo calibration, step by step
- 1Take separate photos for each hand: one of the four fingers (index to pinky) and one of the thumb alone — four photos for both hands.
- 2Shoot every photo from the front, straight at the nails, so each nail is fully visible edge to edge — never from the side and never cropped.
- 3Put a credit card (85.6 mm long edge) or a US quarter (24.26 mm) flat in every photo, at the same distance as the nails.
- 4In the app, drag the calibration line across the card, then tap each nail to place its indicator and drag its ends to the nail edges.
Frequently asked
How accurate is camera sizing?
Well-calibrated shots typically land within about 0.5–1 mm per nail. That is a starting size, not a fitting — verify with a soft tape before ordering custom sets.
Do my photos get uploaded?
When you size on your own, no: photos are processed on your device and only the millimetre numbers you confirm are saved. When you size through your manicurist's link, your photos are saved to your client profile so that studio can review and re-measure them.
What is a sizing link?
A private URL a manicurist generates per client. Opening it shows the studio's name and walks the client through the same sizing flow; the result files into their profile.
Which reference object should I use?
A credit card is usually easier to span precisely. A coin works on smaller surfaces — use its exact diameter.
What do tip sizes mean?
NailFit gives you the width of each nail in millimetres. Match those mm against your brand's tip chart — tip numbers vary by brand and country.
Can I get a refund or cancel?
All payments are final and non-refundable, including the $1 sizing. You can unsubscribe anytime: plans never renew automatically, so just don't renew — your access stays active until the end of the 30 days you already paid.
